RILA supports our immigrant neighbors by providing excellent, pro bono immigration legal assistance to those who are most vulnerable and with the fewest resources: asylum seekers and immigrant children who have experienced abuse, abandonment or neglect.

$5795 funds a defensive asylum case before Immigration Court.
$4773 funds an affirmative asylum case before USCIS.
$831 helps RILA petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile status for an abused or abandoned immigrant child.
$675 supports staff hours and supplies for one of our legal aid clinics
$580 helps an immigrant seeking refuge in the US file an initial Application for Asylum.
$425 covers the cost of staff hours for a Know Your Rights presentation.
$375 covers the cost of applying for Lawful Permanent Residency.
$180 allows RILA to help a client apply for an initial work permit.
$100 pays for an initial consultation to determine eligibility for legal status.

Approximately 50% of RILA’s budget comes from individuals who donate to immigrant support. We rely on the generosity of these friends whose partnership with RILA allows us to give hope to our clients through legal assistance. DONOR ADVISED FUNDS (DAF)
DAFs allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then distribute gifts from the fund over time. DAFs can be set up through your financial institution or a community foundation to serve as a flexible charitable giving vehicle.
